class information

Adult CPR/AED

This course teaches students how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies for victims about 12 years and older.  Students who successfully complete this class will receive a certificate for Adult CPR/AED that is valid for 2 years.

Pediatric/Infant CPR/AED

This course teaches students how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies for infants and children up to 12 years old.  Students who successfully complete this class will receive a certificate for Pediatric CPR/AED that is valid for 2 years.  

Adult/Child/Infant CPR/AED/First Aid

This course teaches students how to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, and back injuries, heat and cold emergencies, and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies for victims of any age.  Students who successfully complete this class will receive a certificate for Adult/Child/Infant CPR/AED/ First Aid that is valid for 2 years.

First Aid

This course will teach students how to deliver care that someone needs while waiting for medical professionals to arrive. Students who successfully complete this class will receive a certificate for First Aid that is valid for 2 years.

Bloodborne Pathogens

This course teaches students how bloodborne pathogens are spread, how to avoid exposure, and what to do if exposed to infectious material. This course is one the requirements of the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard. This certificate is valid for 1 year.

Wilderness and Remote First Aid Training

This course is designed for scouts and scout leaders, outdoor enthusiasts, and anyone who works or spends time in remote environments.  This course teaches advanced skills to be used in emergencies when professional medical help may be far away. Topics include but are not limited to:

  • Primary and Secondary Assessments
  • Head/Brain, Neck and Spinal Injuries
  • Heat-Related Emergencies
  • Hypothermia
  • Altitude-Related Illnesses
  • Allergies and Anaphylaxis
  • Burns
  • Bone and Joint Injuries
  • Wounds and Wound Infections

Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate though the Red Cross for Wilderness and Remote First Aid that is valid for 2 years.

Prerequisites:  Must be at least 14 y/o and have a current Adult CPR/AED certification.

(Class length is approx. 16 hours)

CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Healthcare Providers

Ideal for police, fire, EMS, nurses and other health care professionals.

This course teaches those with a duty to respond how to care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants. Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate that is valid for 2 year.


Basic Life Support (BLS )

This course provides healthcare providers and public safety professionals the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adult, child and infant patients. Students who successfully pass this course will receive a BLS certificate that is valid for 2 years.
